Disaster happen in our times. We do not know when or why but we know that a natural or man made disaster puts us all in a time of stress.  During that time our Alamo RCD Board of Directors will strive to assist the rural communities that we serve around the San Antonio Area with relief from the stress that the disaster puts upon them. We know that we cannot solve all the problems created by hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fires but we also know that every little bit of help is a step toward recovery.

Providing informational Outreach to guide you toward additional assistance in your time of need. 
Alamo RCD is currently offering some REFUGEE ASSISTANCE for those who have been displaced by Hurricane Harvey from one of the FEMA designated counties (see list below) and that are now living in the rural counties of Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina and Wilson Counties around San Antonio, Texas.  

If you resided in the following counties (as FEMA Designated Disaster Counties) and due to the major impact from the devastation brought on by Hurricane Harvey, you are now residing in one of the counties covered by our program,  you may be eligible for some emergency assistance. 

​Aransas, Austin, Bastrop, Bee, Brazoria, Calhoun, Chambers, Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Gonzales, Hardin, Harris, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Karnes, Kleberg, Lavaca, Lee, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Polk, Refugio, Sabine, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Tyler, Victoria, Walker, Waller, Wharton
Alamo RCD is a volunteer organization that it here to help those in need within the San Antonio Area. In October 2017 we were the recipient of a generous donation that has allowed us to assist Refugee (sometimes called "displaced" families) as stated above. 

The following Instructions will assist the Displaced Family apply for our assistance. 

1. Please use the attached form above. Soon we hope to have a way for you to apply directly online by completing the form on this web page but for now......
  • Download  and print the form (two pages front and back),  
  • Complete the form in blue or black ink, 
  • Make a copy of the form for your records then
  • Email a copy back to us at or mail it to Alamo RCD Relief , 215 W. Bandera Rd. Ste. 114-456, Boerne, Texas 78006

2. All registration forms must be completed factually and to the best of your ability​. All blanks must be completed and a signature of Head of Household is required at the bottom of Page 2. 

3. No Relief Assistance will be provided without the completion of all required forms and proper ID indicating original residential location indicating former residence in the FEMA Designated Hurricane Harvey Disaster Area. (Photo ID perferred)

4. Please indicate your immediate needs at this time. We understand that the needs may be many but please indicate those of utmost importance. You should be applying for all assistance possible at this time and our Relief Assistance will NOT cover all your needs. 

5. Due to LIMITED FUNDING, our Relief Assistance will be provided ONLY ONCE to any family at this time. We are asking for donations to help you further into the future but that is still to be determined by our donors. 

Applications will be taken online and at our partner agencies in multiple counties. We are currently working with agencies in Bandera, Kendall, Wilson and Atascosa Counties so that you do not have to travel far to submit your registration. Remember that you can email a completed copy back to us OR send a copy in the mail. 

Be patient with us. We are a volunteer based organization. We will need about two weeks to review your application. Our Review Committee will determine the extent of assistance provided to you in the form of Gift Cards such as HEB, Walmart and Visa or Master Cards.  Amounts of assistance will vary depending on need and our funding capacity. The assistance will be provided in each county we serve at a Relief Distribution Session after your application is reviewed. We will announce those distribution times and dates on this page and on our social network pages.
